Karmic Activities That Quietly Block Our Financial Growth
Karmic truth.”Do your work and do not desire the fruit” it’s a spiritual truth we’ve heard countless times. But let’s be honest: in the real world, where there are bills to pay, parents to support, children to raise, and responsibilities knocking at our door, how practical is that statement?
We don’t just work to keep ourselves busy. We work because our families need comfort, dignity, and security. And that means money. Whether we like it or not, in today’s world, financial strength is deeply tied to social respect. You’re heard only when you have wealth. Even kindness feels more powerful when it’s backed by the ability to provide real help.
Words of comfort don’t fill an empty stomach. No matter how good your intentions are, you can’t feed someone with silence or wipe your parents’ tears with promises. But you can do all that if your wallet carries the energy of righteous earnings.
Can Karma Affect Financial Success?
Now here’s the deeper question: what stops us from receiving the money we should be earning? Why, despite talent and effort, do so many struggle financially?
The answer lies in karmic entanglements the invisible knots that bind our destiny. These knots don’t just affect our spiritual growth. They directly impact our earning power, spending behavior, and even how long wealth stays with us.
There’s an old story from our scriptures that beautifully explains this.
The Story of Devas, Asuras, and the Stuck Kheer
Once, both Devas and Asuras were served delicious kheer. But there was a twist their elbows were tied with stiff wooden sticks, making it impossible to feed themselves.
The Asuras, thinking only of themselves, tried again and again to bend their arms and eat. They failed miserably. The kheer spilled everywhere, wasted.
The Devas, on the other hand, fed each other. They sat facing one another and lifted spoonfuls to each other’s mouths. The kheer was shared, enjoyed, and not a drop was lost.
Here’s the hidden meaning: the wooden sticks were karmic limitations. The Devas didn’t remove those limitations they worked around them through selflessness. And in doing so, they received the full fruit of their prasad.
Are you trying to eat with tied elbows, alone? Or are you creating spiritual wealth by helping others with what little you have?
Modern Lifestyle: A Karmic Roadblock to Wealth
We often blame fate, but let’s look at how we’re living.
Sleeping late, waking tired, avoiding hard work, chasing quick money, choosing comfort over character all these weaken our karmic foundation. They disturb the natural energy flow of our body and disrupt the chakra system.
Take digestion for example. Earlier, people thrived on simple, sattvic food: ragi, barley, millet, sprouted grains. Today, even the healthiest food gives indigestion because we lack agni the digestive fire built through discipline and dharmic action.
When the body rusts, the mind rusts. And when the mind rusts, wealth doesn’t flow it leaks.
Spiritual Solutions for Clearing Financial Blockages
You can’t build wealth on a cracked foundation. That foundation is your karma.
If you’re always running into obstacles, missing opportunities, losing money, or attracting the wrong kind of people it’s time to go inward. Your spiritual system may be cluttered with past-life residues or present-life carelessness.
Start with simple actions:
Wake up at Brahma Muhurta.
Practice discipline in eating, spending, and speech.
Offer seva without expectation.
Meditate daily on the root chakra to heal survival fears.
Stop shortcuts start tapas.
Even one act of true karma can shift years of stagnation.
Building a Strong Karmic Foundation for Prosperity
Money earned through dharma always multiplies. It not only supports your family but becomes a source of joy for others. That’s real abundance.
So check your foundation. Are you working, or just moving? Are you accumulating, or hoarding? Are you sharing, or fearing?
True wealth comes when karma flows without blockage when your efforts, intentions, and lifestyle align with truth.
